I have finally found a minute to sit down and take care of some DJ biz as it’s been gogogo on the restaurant front. I don’t want to say anything until the PR company actually does their job, so just let it be known that I’m opening a resto on 33rd and Park with the company I’ve worked with for a VERY long time. I’ll throw all that info at you when the time is right–a matter of days, weeks…

ANYHOOOOOOO…my (in)famous friend, Mister White, asked me to join him a couple weeks ago to play some tunes on his shittastic (sp?) show, The Smiling Hour, on Newtown Radioan established internet radio station out of what used to be called East Williamsburg–I know because my first-ever apartment 15 years ago was around the corner. I have no clue what the kids are calling it these days. So, it was super fun hanging with Mister White in the studio and getting to play WHATEVER I WANTED. I decided to play obscure throwbacks that really only my sister and mother would understand but I think anyone can appreciate the picks. They’re chill and sometimes strange but go with it. Trust me. I pride myself on my wide breadth of music knowledge. Mister White described the set as “hanging with the parents” which I love because my dad would be like, “What the fuck is this shit?”

Here is the playlist and download link to the part with just the interview and tunes. The whole show is here. There are so many stories associated with these tracks that if I explain them, this post would be a novel. Just ask me if you see me. I’m a great storyteller anyway.
